Valentino for Gap

After being highly disappointed with the Lanvin for H&M collection, I had higher hopes for Valentino’s effort with Gap.

When I think of Valentino I, like everyone else, think of red. Red ruffled gowns. So the thought of a collaboration with a basic high street chain gathered some interest. What could they possibly produce?

They produced this.

A seven piece capsule collection featuring a green army parka, some interesting cargo pants, a few coloured polo-necks and a leather skirt.

I’m not sure what to say about it. Except that at least Lanvin had variety. This is nothing special and the only thing that makes it Valentino are the ruffles.

I look forward to Chanel’s collaboration with Mothercare.
