Possibly the most beautiful collection of the year; Alberta Ferretti has provided sashaying maxi-dresses, gypsy sleeves and metallic sandals for the coolest girlie-girls of 2011.

Using my favourite colour palette, she features sandy chiffon, greens, blues and the occasional lilacs all covered in embroided patterns. Hair and make up is very minimalistic and outfits are finished with the ultimate summer accessory; the hat.

Ferretti has really outdone herself.

Alice By Temperley Ready-To-Wear

In the first S/S collection from her diffusion line, Alice Temperley played with the idea of a modern day Marie Antionette; a Marie Antionette who favours leather pants and bowler hats over her usual corseted dresswear.

Beautiful headbands and maxidresses adorn this collection but for me, the pieces which set it apart from others were the crisp, ruffled blouses, the soft tan jacket and those recurring brogues.
